Hello! I'm sorry I didn't update you sooner on my past trip to Egypt, but Google marked my blog as spam for some ridiculous reason. So, if you ever happen to write to Google for any reason, be sure to ream them out for being jerks and locking my blog account. Anyways, they have finally unlocked it (without giving me any freebies to ease my pain, might I add) so you can view the post below for more info on my latest adventures.
A quick summary is as follows: February 14th, 2007 a team of student from my school (myself included) flew to Cairo, Egypt to work with Sudanese refugees in their schools and churches. We returned to Canada February 26th, 2007.
The main reason I didn't tell many people about this trip is because I wanted to surprise all my friends back in Cairo when I suddenly showed up on their doorstep. It was great fun, and really good to see old friends again. Now, I should also point out that, although the trip is over and done with, I still have not completely paid for it. I believe I owe somewhere in the vicinity of $1300 (CAN) towards this trip. Sooo, if you would like to contribute your hard earned cash towards this cause, feel free! You can make cheques payable to Hungry For Life and just throw my name in to the memo area. Cheques can be mailed to:
Ryan Monson
630 833 4th Ave, SW
Calgary, AB Canada
T2P 3T5
Additionally, if you don't care about me, but you care about the Sudanese refugees, you can send cheques made out to Hungry For Life to me as well and I will make sure that it goes towards the refugee meal plans or something like that. Just make sure you're clear that you don't want the money to go towards my trip costs, but directly to the refugees. Any money I raise above my trip costs will also be put towards the Sudanese children's meal plans, or school facilities, or curriculum, or something to that effect. So, if you find yourself with some money that you think you can do without, this is a great way to invest that money. Thank you in advance for your contributions! Check back soon for pictures and perhaps some more stories about the trip.

Wow, who knew you were going to update your blog! I just happened to click on it randomly and there it was. I wonder if anyone else still checks it periodically? I will now.
